About Run For Equality Marathon

The "Run For Equality Marathon" has been organized to pay tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his 134th birth anniversary. This event aims to raise a voice against caste discrimination and social injustice. It is inspired by Dr. Ambedkar’s seminal work, Annihilation of Caste, which remains one of his most significant yet overlooked contributions to Indian society. Written in 1936, it boldly condemns the caste system, shedding light on the social, moral, and economic oppression it inflicts on people. Dr. Ambedkar’s work emphasizes the need for equality, not just in social spheres but also in vital areas like health and education. He strongly advocated for the empowerment of marginalized communities through access to quality healthcare and education, viewing them as essential tools to break the chains of caste-based discrimination. This marathon symbolizes the ongoing fight for equality, inspired by Dr. Ambedkar’s vision of a society free from injustice and discrimination.
